I am looking for advice on how to work out as a couple without turning a 46 minute plan in to a 2 hour ordeal. We have a small setup, a weightbench with a leg attachment, a treadmill and a stationary bike. Should we alternate the weight training and cardio so we don't step on each others toes, or is there a way to bth do weight training without taking such a big chunk of time?

On cardio days, you each do either the bike or the treadmill...on upper body days...each do different exercises, one using the bench, one not. Lower body is easy enough to do as well. I really don't see a problem with you each simultaneously exercising for the same amount of time. You just may not be doing the exact exercise but certainly target the same muscle group. Let us know how you do!!

I want to be completely honest about this - I've never found a good way to do a couples workout. It will only if both of you are into the same type of routine and are both able to make the commitment. It is always great to have a spotter though and if you guys are both lifting then at least you can share that. I prefer to work out alone.
